This community has a population of less than 200 inhabitants, who live in houses constructed in their majority of wood and ceiling of palm.

The settlers in their majority are indigenous coming from Bahia Azul and Cricamola. It is arrived by sea at the community and the transport more common are the wooden boats with or without enginee.

The ways of the community are not paved. In spite of his proximity with Bocas del Toro, they do not have an aqueduct and they take water from wells or of rain, they either do not count on electricity nor phone services. In the community there is primary school built in concret.

The main activities are the agriculture of subsistence, the fishing and extraction of lobsters, the handicrafts, hunting and the wood extraction.
