Near Boca del Drago, toward the open sea, this small cay, which is itself a protected area is the nesting site of two species of birds: the brown booby (Sula leucogaster) and red-billed tropic bird (Phaethon aethereus). The tropical bird is extremely rare in our hemisphere. To avoid disturbing the birds, landing on the island is not allowed, nor recommended.
