Another important tourist spot is the region of Bocatorito, in the southern part of the Cristobal Island.
A labyrinth of mangrove islets creates a lagoon scenery that fascinates the tourist due to the calm waters.
There is the Bocatorito community and also a well known restaurant. This lagoon is also known as Dolphins Bay, because there is very common to find a great number of bottlenose dolphins, most of the times with their calfs.
The observation of the dolphins is almost a mandatory visit for the tourists that come to Bocas del Toro.
