CIRCUIT # 07 - DOLPHIN BAY & SAN CRISTOBAL

Leaving from Bocas del Toro town, the boat crosses the Admiral Bay in the direction of Cristobal island,
navigating then parallel with the north cost of the island until find an entrance in the mangrove forest.
Once inside of the forest you will be in a real labirinth of mangrove islets, following the path until
get out in an open bay looking the main land cost just in front. This is the Dolphins Bay, place where
it is possible to observe, usually, a great number of this cetaceans, who will make the joy of the

After enjoying the dolphins, the tour goes to the San Cristobal village, ngobe indian community located
in the west side of the island, where you can walk their trails, knowing about their homes and costumes,
as well as appreciate and buy one of their beautiful handicrafts.
To complete the tour it is possible to snorkell in the coral reef located in the coast in front of the
community, with extensive coral populations in shallow water.
Recomendations: donīt try to swing or harrash the dolphins because most of the groups
include baby dolphins and they donīt want to make contact with humans. At San Cristobal buy one of their
beautiful handicrafts. Donīt forget to bring a hat and enough drinking water.
Alternatives:Depending on the time, you can take the lunch in the local restaurant
located in Bocatorito, at the west end of the bay, where you can experience a rich menu based mainly
on seafood. It is possible to make this tour starting from the San Cristobal part and, in this way,
have a better possibility to enjoy the lunch at Bocatorito restaurant.
