Leaving from Bocas del Toro town, the boat travels along the south coast of Colon Island, with the mountains of the mainland to the left, reaching the other end of the island in about 20 minutes. At Boca del Drago visitors can enjoy beautiful beaches, walk in shady ways or snorkel in the nearby reef. Weather permiting, the tour will travel 10 more minutes toward the open sea, to reach the Bird Island, a protected bird sanctuary with a rewarding view. Recomended: Don't disembark nor walk on Swans Cay to avoid disturbing the birds. Nests are everywhere. Alternatives:Lunch at the local restaurant which offers a delicious menu. If the sea is calm the tour can return by the open sea side of Colon Island, with magnificent view of a coast that is unique. Other alternative is to make a short trip by the Soropta Channel to have a short view of the San San Pond Sak Wetland reserve.
