Leaving from Bocas del Toro town, the trip brings you to the west end of the nearby Solarte Cay. There, asking for the permit of the owner of the place, it is possible to visit the place where was the United Fruit Company Hospital, between 1900 and 1925. A short walk to the neighbord rainforest will allow you to observe the tiny red frogs, as well as a semitary of the same time in the history of Bocas. A small beach in the north bay is a good place to rest, swimm or, if your are with your gear, to snorkell in the coral reef that borders de beach. This is also a usual scuba diving site. Once finished this part of the tour, the boat continues between the coasts of Bastimentos and Solarte, reaching a dock in the Bastimentos side where begins the trail that will bring you to the Red Frog Beach, in a trek of only 15 minutes. The way back is done walking the same trail because the boats can´t pick up o leave the people in the beach because the strong waves. Se recomienda: as always, carry a hat, solar blocking lotion and plenty water. If it is raining or wet, use shoes appropiate for the slipery soil, specially if you go into the Punta Hospital forest. If you are not going to take the lunch in the restaurant at the beach, bring some food for the time you plan to spend in the tour. In the beach take care when you enter in the water, don´t take risks because use to be strong and dangerous currents. Alternatives:  Lunch at the restaurant in the Beach, where you also can get sodas, beer or water.
